2026-04-26 23:09:00 (EN)

The “Towers On The Air” (TOTA) program continues its dynamic international growth.
From May 1, 2026, it officially expands to Argentina.
Argentinian towers are gradually being added to the database under the prefix LUR.
From that date, these references can be fully activated and hunted, just like in other participating countries.
Argentina represents another important step in expanding the program beyond Europe and confirms the growing interest of the amateur radio community in this activity.
TOTA continues its journey toward becoming a truly global program.
Local radio amateurs are actively involved in building the national database, and they deserve great thanks for their effort and dedication.

2026-04-25 12:33:00 (EN)

The “Towers On The Air” (TOTA) program will expand to another European country – the Netherlands – starting May 1, 2026, further strengthening its presence across Europe.
Dutch towers are gradually being added to the database under the PAR prefix. From this date, they will be fully available for activations and hunting under the same conditions as other TOTA locations.
The Netherlands brings a unique landscape to the program, combining flat terrain, historic towers, and modern observation structures. This offers interesting opportunities for activators and new challenges for hunters.
The launch will begin with an initial set of towers, which will be expanded in cooperation with the local community.
TOTA continues its steady growth and further expands its European activity network.

TOTA expands – Puerto Rico joins from May 1, 2026

From May 1, 2026, the “Towers On The Air” (TOTA) program enters a new phase of its international development. The project is officially expanding to Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rican towers with the KPR prefix are gradually being added to the database. From May 1, 2026, they can be fully activated and hunted in the same way as European towers.
This step represents a major milestone for TOTA – for the first time, the program expands beyond Europe and opens towards the Caribbean. This confirms its potential to become a truly global amateur radio activity. The Dominican Republic is expected to follow soon.
With the inclusion of Puerto Rico, the range of unique and attractive locations expands significantly. Activators gain new exotic destinations, hunters new DX opportunities, and the entire project gains another dimension of international cooperation.
The program will launch with an initial set of approximately 50 towers, which will be gradually expanded.
From spring 2026, TOTA connects multiple continents – opening a new chapter in global amateur radio activity.

2026-04-03 16:57:00 (EN)

To monitor current activity on towers, we have launched an automated Telegram channel called TOTA bot spot.
It is not possible to post your own messages in this group – it serves purely as a spot overview. Everything runs automatically.
👉 What you will find there:
spots entered on the TOTA web cluster
spots from mobile applications
spots sent e.g. from Ham2K
Thanks to this, you get an instant overview of on-air activity.
📌 The QR code to join can be found in the Service section.
