TOTA – Towers On The Air

European Lookout Towers Program (OK & OM in the first stage)

The Towers On The Air (TOTA) program connects amateur radio activity with exploring lookout towers, viewpoints, and observation structures. It originated in the Czech Republic, later expanded to Slovakia – and is gradually moving toward covering additional European countries.

The goal is to create a unified European system of lookout towers that brings together tourism, technology, and outdoor radio. Every tower is a unique destination.

How does the project work?

• 🎙️ Activator – transmits from the tower
• 📡 Hunter – makes contacts from anywhere
• 🏅 Award system – automatic diploma issuance based on collected points

TOTA is building a European database of lookout towers: Czech OKR and Slovak OMR.
