It is not possible to post your own messages in this group – it serves purely as a spot overview. Everything runs automatically.

From 1 March 2026, the “Towers On The Air” (TOTA) program enters a new and significant phase of development. The project officially expands to Austria and Poland.
Austrian lookout towers with the prefix OER and Polish lookout towers with the prefix SPR are being gradually added to the database. From 1 March 2026, they can be fully activated and hunted in the same way as Czech, Slovak and German towers.
This step represents another important milestone in building a unified Central European lookout tower system, connecting amateur radio activity, tourism, technology and the discovery of remarkable locations across borders.
With Austria and Poland joining, the number of attractive destinations grows significantly. Activators gain new expedition targets, hunters new opportunities for their logs, and the entire project gains an even stronger international dimension.
The program will start with an initial set of towers in both countries, which will be continuously expanded.
From spring 2026, TOTA connects five countries – opening a new chapter in shared European amateur radio activity.

With the latest update of Ham2K Portable Logger, the Towers On The Air (TOTA) activity is now fully integrated directly into the application.
What does this mean in practice?
✅ Native support for TOTA references while logging QSOs
✅ Automatic recognition and handling of tower references
✅ More convenient field logging during activations
✅ Faster and more accurate log uploads
TOTA is now officially among the fully supported international activities in one of the most widely used portable logging applications today.

Since November 2025, it is possible to display a route from your home QTH to the selected lookout tower directly in the tower detail (card).
Just click the new button “🧭 Show Route”, available to logged-in users.
An interactive map will open, showing the route from your current position to the destination, including the distance, estimated travel time, tower name and its TOTA reference number (e.g. Destination: OKR-1234 Boží vyhlídka Lookout Tower).
